Clemson family and newborn photography
These sessions are relaxed and unhurried, built around connection instead of stiff poses and perfect smiles. You’ll have gentle guidance the whole way through, so you can stop worrying about where to put your hands and simply enjoy being together. What we capture is the real thing, your family’s personality and the everyday love that makes your home yours.
After you book, I’ll send a full preparation guide that covers everything from what to wear to how to talk to your kids about the session. We’ll also have a planning conversation so I can learn about your family before the day arrives, who your kids are, what makes them laugh, what time of day they’re at their best, and what you’re hoping to walk away with.
By the time your session day comes, you won’t be wondering what to expect. You’ll just be excited.
We meet at a location that fits your family, somewhere with beautiful light and enough room for your kids to actually move. From the moment we start, I’m watching for the real moments, the way your toddler buries into your shoulder, the look you and your partner share over the kids’ heads, the belly laugh nobody planned for.
I’ll give you gentle prompts and direction throughout so nobody has to wonder what to do, but mostly I’m creating the conditions for your family to be your family. Most parents tell me it felt more like an evening out together than a photo session. That’s exactly what I’m going for.
We move slowly. We don’t rush. If someone needs a snack break or a toddler needs a moment, we take it. The best images almost always come after everyone has relaxed and forgotten about the camera.
A few weeks after your session, we’ll meet for your reveal and ordering appointment virtually. You’ll see your images together for the first time and we’ll talk through the artwork that belongs in your home.
This is one of my favorite parts of the whole experience. Watching a family see themselves the way I saw them during the session, that’s what this is all for.
We’ll choose a spot that fits your family, whether that’s the golden light off Lake Keowee, a trail near Greenville, a tucked-away meadow in Highlands or Cashiers, or your own backyard where your kids are most themselves. Not sure where to start? I’ll help you find a location that suits the season and the feeling you’re after.
Almost every parent feels a little awkward before we start. Almost every one forgets about it within the first ten minutes. Making that easy is my job. You focus on your people, I’ll handle the rest, and I promise you’ll look like yourselves rather than like you’re trying.

What should we wear?
How long is a family session?
Wherever your family feels most like yourselves. Lake Keowee, a field near home, a favorite local spot, or your own backyard. If you’re not sure, I’ll help you choose somewhere that fits the season and the feeling you’re after.
Where do sessions take place?
What if my kids won’t cooperate?
How many images will I receive?
When is the best time of year to book?
Most sessions run 30-60 minutes, long enough to settle in and capture real moments, short enough to keep little ones happy.
I’ll send a full styling guide after you book. The short version: layers, soft neutrals, and outfits that feel like you rather than a costume.
They almost never do at first and that’s completely fine. The candid, in-between moments are usually the ones you’ll love most. Wiggly toddlers and reluctant teenagers are welcome here.
You’ll see your full gallery at your reveal and ordering appointment, where we’ll choose the images and artwork that come home with you together.
Any season works beautifully in the Upstate and mountains. Spring and fall tend to book fastest, so if you have a season in mind, reaching out early is always a good idea.
